About the Event
Elderberries are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. One of the best known benefits is its power to boost the immune system because of its strong antiviral properties.
We will be focusing on how to turn dried elderberries into a nutritious tincture that you and your family can use daily
.A tincture, which is a concentrated herbal extract, is an ideal way to glean the medicinal benefits of elderberries, and it can be made at home using only a couple of ingredients and very little in the way of equipment.
We will be demonstrating in the studio how to make the medicinal tincture, and we will discuss the proper dosage and usage - and then you will also begin the process of making your own! You will be recieving an elderberry tincture kit and from there we will be adding in the alcohol! We will be using organic and non-gmo source herbs, and organic vodka. The tincture has to sit for at least 6 weeks, and then strained into a dropper bottle - we will be going over this process in the class! Â We will explore the many benefits of elderberry tincture and discuss how you can incorporate it into your own health routine! An elderberry tincture is a concentrated form of elderberry juice that is made by steeping the berries in alcohol. The resulting liquid is dark and thick, with a potent flavor.Â
We encourage families to come to the class together, this is great for the entire family - please keep in mind that we will be handling alcohol so parent disgression is adviced.Â
Once you learn how to make the tincture, then making the tincture can be done in the future at home.
Price of Workshop $35 This is per family/group and includes one elderberry tincture kit.
Inside of the tincture kit : 1 mason jar, Elderberry/Herb blend/ 1 dropper bottle and organic vodka in the class.Â
